In one true, all powerful and eternal living God in three persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, who created the world and everything above and below it, and through love, grace and sovereignty continues to rule, sustain, redeem and judge the entirety of creation.
Mankind was created in the image of God to be in relationship with Him, but its disobedience damaged the perfect relationship with the creator God and corrupted the human heart, incurring divine wrath and judgement.
We believe that…
Jesus Christ is God’s only Son, the living Word, who was born of the virgin Mary through miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit, fully God and fully Man.
That Jesus lived a sinless, spotless life and willingly became the perfect atonement for our sin by dying as a substitute in our place on the cross, thus satisfying the price and penalty for our sin and providing reconciliation to God through salvation for all who trust in Him alone.
Jesus rose from the dead three days later in the same body in which he lived and died, although now glorified. He physically ascended into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father, where He became the intercessor between God and those in relationship with Him.
We believe that…
Salvation is solely a work of God's free grace and cannot be earnt in whole or in part by works, goodness or religious ceremony. God imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation, which thereby justifies them in His sight.
All who call upon the name of Jesus as their Lord and Saviour can be assured of their salvation. This assurance is not based upon any kind of human merit but is produced by the witness of the Holy Spirit, who confirms in the believer the testimony of God in His written word.
The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to reveal the glory of God the Father through Christ Jesus. He convicts and draws sinners to Christ, imparts new life to them, indwells in them from the moment of spiritual birth and seals them until the day of redemption. He comes alongside all believers to empower their discipleship and enable their witness.
Believers are called to abide in Christ and to live every day in the power of the Holy Spirit so that they will not succumb to the sins of the flesh but will bear fruit to the glory of God.
Christ commanded all believers to proclaim the Gospel to every nation and to make disciples of all who surrender their lives to Him. The fulfilment of this Great Commission requires that we who are raised to new life in Christ, surrender our worldly and personal ambitions and take up our cross to follow Him who loved us and gave Himself for us.
We rejoice that…
Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, His Body, which is composed of all people, living and dead, who have been joined to Him through saving faith.
The Church is the body of Christ both local and universal, a royal priesthood who are gifted as the Holy Spirit wills to serve and worship God and proclaim the Gospel of Christ, promoting justice, peace and love.
God exhorts His Church to commune together regularly to worship Him, to take communion in remembrance of the atoning sacrifice of His Son Jesus, to give mutual encouragement and for edification through the teaching of His Word.
The Bible is the written word of God, fully trustworthy and divinely inspired by God.
We agree with Scripture that…
After death of the physical body, the believer enters immediately into eternal, conscious fellowship with the Lord and awaits the glorious resurrection of the body with the return of Christ.
After physical death, those who have rejected Christ immediately enter into eternal, conscious separation from the Lord and await everlasting judgment and condemnation.
We joyfully await…
The physical return of Jesus Christ as written in Scripture to fulfil the purposes of God. It will be personal and visible to all, heralding the end of history and bringing an end to Satan’s reign. His glorious return will bring all people past and present to the judgement seat of Christ, awarding eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and establishing a new heaven and new earth for all eternity.
