Machala Escott

Operations Manager

Machala retired from the Royal Air Force after 16 years’ service, when severe depression and a near miss during active duty in Afghanistan forced her to rethink her life choices. On leaving, she retrained as a Quality Manager but found her mental health continuing to decline. Although having given her life to Jesus at an early age, Machala was struggling to walk free from the illness that would eventually cause her to make an attempt on her life.

But God intervened with perfect timing, reminding her of His promises, and with revived hope, she attended a Mission24 Healing meeting where she was instantly set free from the depression that had plagued her for more than a decade.

From that day, Machala determined to go all in for Christ, completed the Mission24 Internship in 2018 and shortly after, joined the team full-time. She enjoys working closely with them behind the scenes and out in the mission field, seeing lives transformed, saved and set free by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. She has a particular heart for women's ministry and encouraging the Church to rise up and live in the power and authority that is rightfully theirs as believers covered by the blood of Jesus Christ.
